Three Kinds Of Laptop Batteries
Spead the word...
In creating their first impression about new laptops, all review websites always consider the longevity of the laptop battery first. A sale of one laptop most times depends on the battery. If you decide to set up your budget for a new laptop, obviously you want a better one for long period of time. For you who do not know, a battery is the main aspect if we talk about "period of time". For mobile laptops, a good and quality battery is needed. Actually, you can't say one laptop is mobile if the battery is not good enough.
Three kinds of laptop batteries:
1. The first kind of laptop battery is Nickel cadmium (NiCad) battery. It was an old thing, really. Seven years ago, it was not difficult to find nickel cadmium battery. Nonetheless, NiCad is not friendly at all to our Earth. The hot issue about Global Warming has changed people's mind about nickel cadmium. Other negative thing about it is the longevity. If we compare nickel cadmium with other newer kinds, you'll be disappointed with the effectiveness of this battery.
2. The second one is Nickel metal hybrid or in short NiMH battery. This kind of battery is one step ahead of NiCad because the capacity is twice bigger. Therefore, Nickel metal hybrid type is much more popular for businessmen. But Nickel metal hybrid has a negative issue with the memory of the laptop. Thus, it is not as popular as several years ago.
3. Lithium ion. Yep, this is the current hottest product in the market. Popular laptop developers like Acer or Dell always puts lithium ion batteries inside their new products. LiON battery is the most balanced battery because it's not expensive and has better longevity. Don't forget that Lithium ion one is more environment friendly rather than Nickel metal hybrid and NiCad batteries.
